If you read Borra: A Start, please disregard it for this story. I wanted to write something new and needed to give myself a clean slate. This one is from Bolin's POV and is a the arena sometime between the Mako/Korra kiss and the final match, just so you have a time frame.

It was late and I couldn't sleep well plus I kept hearing sounds from in the gym. I got myself out of bed and pulled on my sweat pants then took a quick look around the attic only to find my brother was no where in the attic. This meant either A: He was the one causing all the noise down stairs or B: his date with Asami was going REALLY good. I walked out of the attic and made my way to the gym.

As I got closer the sounds became louder, I could hear clay discs breaking which made me think that it might not have been Mako. Just as I crossed in front of the open door way a stream of fire was shot right in my direction. I drew up a pillar of earth to shield myself, "What the hell, Bro!?" I called.
"Bolin! I am so sorry!" the person answered me in a voice that did not belong to my brother.
I dropped the rock and through the smoke and dust I could see the out line my good friend Korra, putting a shirt over her training bra, "I really am sorry, I thought I was alone. What are you doing up this late?"
"I couldn't sleep." I answered walking over to where she was by one of the walls. "I kept hearing noises from down here so I wanted to check it out. Why are you training so late?"
She slid her back down one of the walls, "It isn't so much training as it is blowing off steam." she said.
I took a seat next to her, "Well what steam do you have to blow off, Avatar?"
"Do you really want the list?" she asked.
I nodded a 'yes'.

"Amon is planning something huge, I can just feel it. I am not getting the hang of air bending at all. I cannot keep a level head with those kids running around like little chatter boxes all the time," she paused for a moment, "I mean they are good kids, just all the time, talking! They don't shut it! Then I have my personal issues."
I couldn't help but smile at the comment about Tenzin's kids, "What personal issues?" I asked pushing her onward.
"I feel, I feel horrible about kissing your brother, doing what I did to you and Asami and the fact he hasn't told her yet is killing me!" she said, throwing her arms in the air in defeat.
"Hey, despite the blubbering baby I was, it wasn't the first time I had been hurt. I can handle myself. Mako will feel the guilt soon enough and he will tell her, that is just the kind of guy he is."
She just let out a sigh.
"Well, you seemed to be content with blasting things up, so how about I give you a target?" I said standing up and offering her my hand to help her up, "Wanna spar?"
She started to give me her hand but then hesitated, "Haven't I done enough to you?"
"Haven't you seen me in a match, I can take care of myself." then I bent the rock under her causing her to stand up only an inch from my face, "So, what do you say?"
She got a sassy look on her face, "Bring it! First one on the ground looses."

With in seconds we were feet a part from one and other, dust and fire filled the air but, her blow's at me were no where near as strong as they were in a match. "Korra! Come on! Stop going easy on me! I can take it!" No sooner had the words left my mouth she was jumping through the air shooting streams of fire at me. I was knocked backward by a one of the longer streams but not to the point I would fall. I felt a twinge of pain across my chest but I ignored it.
"If I can't go easy on you, you can't go easy on me!" she said to me from so where in the dust. I stood still for a moment, trying to find where she was. A few day's ago there was no way I could ever give my all in a sparring match with Korra but, after the other night, I had some built up anger that need to be released.
I inhaled and as I exhaled I caused all the dust to settle, exposing Korra with a shocked look on her face. I bent all the dust right at her. "Bolin! My mouth was open!" she said between coughs. She was really throw off her game spitting fire and water in every direction, none of which came close to me.
Or, I thought she was off her game until she came charging at me, hard and fast. I didn't see her until she smacked into my chest trying to push me back off my feet.
I responded quickly though, grabbing her around her waist and pushing her back a lot more successfully than she had been pushing me. "You might be strong, Korra. But I'm still stronger." I told her smiling just before I swept her leg out from under her causing us both to fall on the matte.

"Hey! You fell too, so, we both loose?" she suggested, still under me.
I heard what she said but I was too caught up in the smile on her face and the way her hair fell into her eye's to respond.
"Oh, okay, you win." she said folding her arms and shifting her face into a pout.
"No, no. We both loose." I said as I got up again offering her my hand which this time she took.
"Wow, I got you good." she noted, lightly touching the exposed burnt skin under my training shirt. "Can I fix it?" she asked.
"Go on, do your thing." I told her slightly tilting my head back and spreading my arms out.
She laughed a little, "It would be easier on us both if you would lay down. Go up stairs and I will meet you there in a sec." she told me as she started putting things away in her gym bag.
"Alright, alright." I told her as I made my way out of the gym realizing just how much my chest really was hurting, it was even harder to breathe.

"Bolin?" I heard her say as she came into the attic.
"Bedroom." I told her, I then heard the sound of running water, then foot steps entering my room.
"Can I turn the light on?" she asked.
"I'd prefer you didn't. My head isn't feeling too good right now."
She lit a small flame in her hand to see where she was going and had a bowl of water in the other.
"Shirt off, please." she said while setting the bowl of water on the little table in my room.
I sat up, threw the shirt over my head, and out the door with one fluid motion then, flopped back on my bed trying to make it as painless on myself as possible. I tilted my head at Korra to see she wasn't looking at the water or out the window but at me. She was clearly staring at my chest, the only thing missing was a little drop of drool out of the corner of her mouth. I enjoyed the moment but decided to pull her out of it, "Hey, Korra." I said breaking her stare.
She looked at my face and I saw her blushing red, "Uh, yeah, healing, right." she said and the red flame was quickly replaced by glowing blue.
She placed her hands just above the burn marks and moved them slowly. I remembered the feeling from when she worked on my shoulder. It was cool, soothing and made me almost instantly relax. I let my head sink into the pillow and let out a sigh of relief.
I opened my eye's for a brief moment to catch her smiling at me, I returned it with a smile of my own.

After a few minutes I noticed that the blue glow and turned back to red and the cool feeling on my chest had gone. She placed herself on the end of my bed as I sat up to find the pain in my chest was totally gone and my breathing was normal.
"How's your head?" she asked.
"Still a little sore." I told her.
She scooted herself closer to me, bent some water back to her hands and placed them on either side of my head.
A rush of coolness flooded into my head. It was like my headache was never even there. My brain relaxed and was clear for the first time in a long time. I looked up at her in the dim blue light, "Thanks." I told her.
"No problem. I know how much this can help a person. I've even done it to myself before." she told me.
I wasn't sure if she was or not but it felt like she was leaning in closer to me, like all I would have to do would be inch myself forward and our noses would touch, and our lips--" I was stopped in mid though, it was as if she read my mind, her lips where pressed softly on mine. I was lucky she still was relaxing my mind because if she hadn't I don't think I would have known what to do. I kissed her back, closing my eye's still feeling completely calm.
I watched from behind my eye lid's as the glow went away and her hands moved to my shoulders. Getting my normal senses back I kissed her a little harder this time and she pushed my shoulders causing me to fall back onto my pillow. I heard her giggle and by the dim light of the moon creeping through my window I saw she was smiling down at me before kissing me again.
I just wanted to try something a little different and I know it isn't really different but it goes away from my normal story line. I hope people like it. Comment?
