Okay, back story. Everyone is living at the Air Temple and Korra is just having a hard time dealing with everything going on in her life so Bolin decides it is time for her to get out of the house. This starts on the island and takes place from Bolin's POV.

We made it across the water with minimal amounts of her splashing about, I didn't even care that it was cold out and I was wet, all that mattered was Korra was smiling again! Once at the diner, I ordered us a large plate of dumplings. I planned on eating a few but I knew Korra hadn't been eating like normal so I figured she would be pretty hungry. I sat the steaming plate down at our table for two and watched her bright blue eye's grow.
"Dig in." I told her taking my seat.
She took one and shoved the whole thing into her mouth, I just smiled grabbing one for myself. She made an 'ummmmm' sound as she chewed. Finishing that one and grabbing herself another she asked, "So since I have been out of the loop, how are things with your brother and Asami going?"
I swallowed my bite, "They are doing good. Asami is still trying to find out more information about her father and Mako has just been helping Tenzin out with some handy work. You really haven't even talked to Asami?"
She put the half eaten dumpling down, "No, not really. She always comes in late and normally I just pretend to be asleep. Not last night but the night before that I did talk to her. She woke up screaming something about her father, we stayed up pretty late and she talked about it."
"That was pretty nice of you." I said sipping on my water.
"I get my fair share of nightmares, it was the least I could do."
We turned the conversation off of nightmares and sad things and to laughter. I was telling her about the new trick Pabu was doing and how Mako had lost a bet with me and had to wear Asami's bra around the Temple for an hour. She almost fell out of her chair from laughing at that and then cursed at me for not coming and getting her. She had finished the last dumpling, I paid the tab and we left the diner.

"So just back to the Temple then?" she asked as we started our walk.
"Not quite yet. I had one more thing planned." I told her smiling.
"Please, no more food! I am stuffed!" she said rubbing her belly.
"Nope, nothing to do with food. Make a left up here." I pointed.
We quickly came to a square of the town, music was planning, a few people were still out but not as many as there would have been earlier in the night. The people were laughing and dancing the night away.
"What'dya say?" I asked offering her my hand, "You don't have to if you don't--" she pulled me into the small group of people laughing.
We danced for what felt like hours. We danced to slow song, fast songs, songs we had never even heard before but we enjoyed ourselves all the same. One by one the other dancers left the scene, a few waved good bye or tipped their hats to us others just seemed to vanish. Slowly, the lights that where strung above our heads were shut off and the light in the near by fountain was the only thing still on.
Both of us were growing tired but still, we danced. Another slow song came on and this time she wrapped her arms around my neck and I wrapped mine around her waist. She pulled me in tight and rest her head under my chin. At that moment, I wasn't thinking that I finally had Korra, that she was here in my arms, no that thought didn't hit me until the next day. Right then all I knew was that I had made my best friend happy again and she was having a good time just hanging around with me. I heard the music stop but my feet didn't stop spinning us in our little circle. She moved her feet so she was standing on the tops of mine. I danced with her like that, to no music at all, until I was sure I was going to fall over.

She stepped off my feet, removed her head from my neck, and looked up at me smiling. I linked her arm in mine and we made our way back to our boat, "So now we can go home." I told her.
"Actually, there is something I have wanted to do since I came to the city, do you mind if we do it tonight?" she looked up asking me.
"Not like I have any reason to be back." I told her shrugging my shoulders.
We rounded the corner to go back to the boat just as the light in the fountain had gone off. We continued walking past most of the shops that were still open and she didn't stop in any of them, she just kept walking towards the water. Eventually, I figured what she wanted to do had to be on the Island itself.
Both of us climbed our way into the boat, I took a seat at the front and she stood on the back and begun bending the water. It wasn't long though before I noticed we really weren't heading in the direction of the Temple, it was more of us going off to the right.
"Korra? What exactly is it that you wanted to do?" I turned around and asked her.
"Gimme like three more minutes and then you can ask me."
I turned back around and watch as the Air Temple and the now unlit arena pasted us by. We were almost in the middle of the lake and I felt her bending start to slow down, "Now can you tell me?" I asked once more.

She moved from where she was standing, to the middle of the boat and then just decided to lay down. I looked at her very confused. All she did was point upward. I looked to the sky and saw just how clear it was and how many little stars dotted the it.
"Woah!" was all I said as I sat next to her, still gazing up. "I get why you wanted to move more down the water, so the city lights didn't interfere."
"Yup." she said and folded her arms behind her head.
I broke my stare and looked down at her, "I didn't know you liked the stars so much."
"I didn't really know I did either, until I came here. Back home we didn't have many lights. You just had to leave five minutes from camp and there it was, and endless star lit sky. I didn't realize how much I would miss it." she said looking up but not to me.
"I bet it's beautiful."
"It is. On a good night when there aren't any clouds and the moon is bright, the stars and moon make it look like it isn't even night time. The way they reflect off the snow and ice makes everything brighter."
I just sat and listened to her loose herself in her memories. It was clear, on top of everything that was going on here, she also really missed her home. That was something that hadn't even crossed my mind. I thought about placing my hand on her shoulder, just to do something to show her I was there for her but, I decided not to. I didn't want her to take it the wrong way. Instead, I just laid down next to her, careful not to touch her in anyway. We both laid flat on our backs in the small boat. The last thing I remember from that night was looking up at the star filled sky and the first thing I remember from that next morning was waking up, my arms wrapped around Korra, her head on my chest and our legs intertwined.
'What the hell did I miss?!' I thought to myself...
I'm sorry about so many random stories but I just loveeee writing about them getting together and being flirty! It's just so darn cute. But ya, this is what I came up with. Thinking about having a part 2, any thoughts?
