Borra: The Line: Pt 2: Korra

Alright. So part two is going to be at the air temple and I am going to write it from both Korra and Bolin's POV's. Up first will be Korra.

I stirred around in the blankets as my dream of whooping Amon slowly faded away from me. I let my eye's flick open to see that the room was washed in a golden color from the early morning sun. Sitting up and stretching my arms high above my head I saw that Asami was already awake and looking like she had already showered, "Morning." I told her.
"Good morning." she said back with a smile, "I took a shower, I hope I didn't wake you."
"Nope. I actually slept really well." I said.
"Um, I don't remember you wearing that last night..." she noted, pointing at the shirt I was wearing, "That's Bolin's, isn't it?" she said, a smile growing on her face.
"Well, uh, no, actually, yes, but it isn't what it looks like." I stuttered over my words while I tried untangling myself from my sheets.
"Hey, I didn't say anything like that." Asami laughed as I tried to make my way to the door.
"I should be giving this back to him, yeah." I said as I found the door and walked out of it.

As I wiggled my way out of the shirt when I realized just how much it smelled like him, earthy and like fresh cut grass. I held it up to my nose and took a big breath in before knocking on the door.
Mako answered, "Hey, Korra!" he said in a cheerful voice.
"Mornin'. Is Bo still in here?" I asked.
"He just walked into the bathroom but, I can't hear the shower. Let me try and get him." he said as I waited by the door.
A topless Bolin opened the door with his slightly wet hair. I didn't exactly know why but I felt my cheeks turning a rose color.
I held his shirt out to him, "I thought you might want this back."
"Might be nice." he said taking it from me.
"Well, I'm gonna get ready. See you at breakfast. Thanks for letting me barrow that." I said already walking back to my room.
"Anytime, Korra." he said now standing a little outside his door frame.

I shut the door behind me with a thud, Asami was still sitting on the bed grinning wide as I walk in.
"Soo?" she said.
"So what?" I asked heading into the bathroom to do my hair.
"So what did happen last night? Come on! I'm a girl, you're a girl, and girls need details! So spill!" she said standing the the door frame.
"Nothing happened, really. Neither of us could sleep, I went out to sit on the steps and when I came inside he was heading outside, we went on a walk, I got cold hence how I ended up with his shirt, and we both came back inside and went to bed. That's all." I was now angry brushing my hair.
"Then why are you blushing? If you like him, it's okay. You can tell me. It isn't like I'm gonna go blab to Mako or anything."
"I'm blushing because, well, I don't know why. And I don't like him, at least, I don't think I do. Anyways, Lin is going to be here soon and I should shower so I will meet you for breakfast, okay?"
"What ever you say Korra." she said closing the bathroom door.

I let the hot water wash over me as I thought about what Asami had said. Bolin was a really nice guy, funny and sweet. But, I broke his heart and I wasn't sure I was in the position to act on any feelings I might be having, I didn't think I would be able to cross that line with him. I turned the water off, pulled my hair into it's normal fashion, put on my cloths and headed to get some food. Trying very hard to not think about Bolin.
That plan failed though the second I walked up to the table and filled the empty seat next to him. Everyone was there aside from Tenzin.
"Pema? Did we miss the meeting?" I asked.
"No, he decided he would just talk to Chief Bei Fong alone, thought it would be better so they weren't working with so many people." she explained, "He did leave a note though." she said motioning to Mako to hand me the paper he was holding.
I took it from him and I could see a look of angry in his eye's, I wasn't sure if it was because of the paper he had read or if I had done something to upset him.
Anyways I read the note and it read,
Kids, I went to talk to Chief Bei Fong alone. I know you wanted to join me but I thought this would be best. While I am away I think you all should head into the city (all together) and find some cloths. I do not want anyone going back to the Sato Estate seeing as Hiroshi was not captured and we are not sure of his location. Use the money I have left to buy anything you think is needed. Keep each other safe, I will return this after noon with more information.

"So shopping?" I said to the group.

We all came to the conclusion that we wouldn't all fit on Naga so we went to the ferry and then walked around till we found a reasonable priced store that all of us could shop at. I sat back and let everyone shop, I didn't think I was going to need anything I had everything I could need back on the island.
"Don't you think you should get something new, Korra? Amon is used to your water tribe look by now." Mako said.
"My water tribe look is all I have." I said tugging on the baggy blue pants.
"It is time for a change then!" Asami said pulling me down an isle.
She picked me out tops in blue, pink, and orange along with some black pants and sent me to the fitting room. I tried on everything they asked. Mako and Asami thought the orange was the best look for me then I put the blue on.
"You are all wrong," Bolin finally piped up. "I don't know if it's the water bender in her, but blue is the best color on her. Do you see her eyes!? No other color makes them shine like that!" he said.
My face turned that same rose color again at his words, no one had ever said anything to me like that before. I looked down and shuffled my feet.
"I think I will just get this one guys." I said and walked back into the dressing room.

Leaving the shop with many bags we decided to break a part for a little bit. Asami wanted to look at some make up and hair products and Mako needed a new pair of gloves.
Asami and I entered the shop, "Korra, if I buy some stuff can I please give you a make-over tonight? I promise nothing too girly and it would really cheer me up." she said.
I sighed, "Eh, okay." I agreed.
She went buzzing around the store finding different things for my hair, my eye's and lips. I had no idea what I would be getting myself into. She got the few things she needed and the dozen things she wanted for me and we left to meet the boy's in the park.

Asami spoke up out of no where, "You know, I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable this morning. I just thought that with the way you two are around each other, you and Bolin had something going on and were trying to keep quiet."
"What?" I laughed nervously, "No, we are just friends. I did something a few weeks ago that really hurt him and I don't know if I am having true feelings for him or anything. Even if I am I don't think I can admit to them after what I did." I decided it would be best to not tell her exactly the reason Bolin was so hurt because that really wasn't my place.
"We are human, Korra, even the Avatar is. We all make mistakes. If any one would be forgiving of a mistake I am sure it would be Bolin. And what ever you did do, clearly he didn't stop liking you over it."
"Wait. What do you mean?" I asked her.
"No guy just says things like that about a girl and doesn't have feelings for her. No guy looks at a girl the way he looks at you and doesn't have feelings for her. Bolin is giving all the signs, you just need to pick up on them." she said as we walked in the park.
I saw Bolin and Mako standing by the pond, Bolin waving to us with his usual Bolin grin. I smiled and waved back to him. Right then I admitted to myself I did feel something for Bolin, I even thought it might have been something more than I felt for Mako. Maybe I did make a mistake and maybe he was just the man to forgive me.
